The project promotes active, healthy and inclusive lifestyles among university students by introducing a dedicated European Students Run (10 km, half marathon and full marathon) integrated into the NLB Ljubljana Marathon. (Poland) and the Lithuanian Sports University (Lithuania). The project develops a digital application that helps student-athletes assess and improve their dual-career competences (self-management, resilience, social skills, time management, career planning, etc.) through a periodic self-assessment questionnaire, personalised educational content and access to advice. Activities include the design of the DC competences questionnaire and learning content (WP2), iterative app development with pilot testing involving at least 100 student-athletes from Latvia and Lithuania (WP3), and dissemination through three rounds of Multiplier Sport / Educational Events in Riga and Kaunas as well as social media. FOCUS supports elite football players in their transition from youth academies to professional football while continuing their education, by building an innovative and scalable, co-created dual-career framework rather than imposing static policies. Key deliverables include a structured dual-career framework for football, practical tools for clubs, educators and athletes, research-based recommendations for policy and practice, real-world pilots in training and education environments, and a shared European knowledge base. The methodology is guided by the Cynefin framework and uses SenseMaker® to capture athletes’ narratives at scale, ensuring that solutions are shaped by lived experience. | Latvian University Sports Federation (LUSF) | EUGames – European Universities Games, Łódź 2022 | Project supporting the preparation, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and dissemination of the European Universities Games held in Łódź (Poland) in July 2022. The event brought together participants from around 30 countries, with 9 organisations involved as Associated Partners. | Latvian University Sports Federation (LUSF) | MORE THAN GAMES 2024 European Universities Games 2024 – volunteer and educational programme | Project supporting the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the European Universities Games 2024 (Debrecen–Miskolc, Hungary) as a not-for-profit European sport and cultural event for participants from around 400 universities in 40 countries. The project delivered a value-creating volunteer programme building on the traditions of previous Games and an educational side-event programme promoting the values of European university sport and volunteering.
